Solo habits in dailio: private streaks with the same minimal design
The best habit tracker for you might be mostly private—and that should be normal. dailio supports solo habits with the same streak mechanics and week row as shared ones, because dignity should not depend on whether you invited a friend. We are still building the app and will launch soon, but this principle is already baked into our roadmap and our messaging.
Privacy is a product decision, not an afterthought
Some apps nudge you to “go social” for retention. We are designing dailio so private habits feel complete without upsell. Your week row, completion flow, and history should feel trustworthy—especially for habits tied to health, boundaries, or recovery. While dailio remains in development, we are auditing what is visible by default and what requires an explicit share.
When solo is the right choice
Solo mode shines when privacy matters most, when your schedule is irregular, or when you are experimenting with a habit before going public. A good streak app should let you start small, keep evidence, and adjust without a performance narrative.
- Same week row UX for solo and shared habits—learn once, use everywhere.
- Optional social later if you decide accountability would help.
- History that supports comebacks after missed days.
